Last updated: November 2, 2026
AMEReady ("we", "us") runs www.ameready.com, offering online courses for aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs): REGS (CARs) exam prep for apprentices and human factors training. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Who is responsible
AMEReady, operated by Dan Kennedy, British Columbia, Canada.
Privacy contact: amereadyca@gmail.com
What we collect
• Account and course info: your name, email address and login details when you sign up or buy the course. We also keep your course progress, quiz and practice-exam results, and completion certificate.
• Purchase info: what you bought, the price and the date. Payments are processed by Wix. We never see or store your full card number.
• Messages and forms: what you send us through the contact form, the free practice-question check, the free study pack and preview sign-up (which creates a free AMEReady account for your preview), or the "Add your team" form. Group buyers give us the names and email addresses of their team members; please only share them with their permission.
• Technical info: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookies. See "Cookies" below.
Why we use it
• To give you access to the course, track your progress and issue your certificate.
• To process payments, add group members, and apply the Pass-or-Extend Guarantee.
• To answer your questions and send course-related emails, such as access confirmations and reminders to finish your steps.
• To send study tips or offers only if you opt in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the site secure and understand how it's used, so we can improve it.
We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the site, under contracts that require them to protect it:
• Wix.com (website, course platform, payments, forms and email).
• Google (Gmail, for our contact inbox).
• Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel, for ad measurement).
• The manager your organization names on a team plan (certificate of completion, completion date and score).
These providers may store information outside Canada (for example in the United States or Israel), where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies that the site needs to work (login, checkout), Wix's built-in site analytics to understand traffic, and the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure and show our ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta account.
How long we keep it
• Course and account info: for as long as your account is active, and for up to 2 years after your course access ends, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
• Purchase records: for as long as Canadian tax law requires (generally 6 years).
• Form messages: for up to 2 years.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
• see the personal information we hold about you,
• correct it,
• withdraw your consent, or
• delete your account.
Email amereadyca@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Withdrawing consent may mean we can't keep providing the course.
If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).
Security
We use the security tools of our providers (encrypted connections, access controls). No online service is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Children
The course is meant for adult apprentices. You must be at least 16 to create an account, and if you're under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's consent to buy the course. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and post the new version here.
